15mm Renaissance Imperialist tents

I have made a start on my Imperialist camp scene, and gone straight into painting the tents. The main large tent has the Imperialist eagle and cross of St Andrew on reverse with Georg Von Frundsberg coat of arms on shields each side. I added a dirty look to the lower halves with weathering pigments.

I have seen many colourful well painted examples by others for inspiration but in the end went with canvas colour as in this original artists camp scene of the period,

15mm Burgundian Infantry

Thats another unit added to the Burgundian host! All in all 2016 has been a very productive year painting miniatures,  the smaller scale being a major factor(which was the reason for trying 15s).

Now that i have added a few units to the Burgundian/Swiss collection it is time to return to the Renaissance. I am putting any infantry/Cavalry on hold for now in the hope Sgt major miniatures release the Venexia range in the future, but this means i can give the camp scene my attention, and i also have a baggage train awaiting the paint brush!

15mm Burgundian men at arms charging.

Thats 16 mounted men at arms charging added to the Burgundian army. I made a few additions of plumes and lance pennons. Hopefully a 36 man infantry unit will be added to the Burgundian host within next few weeks!

15mm command bases

I managed to finish of the basing for these command groups, firstly a Burgundian stand with Petes printed flags.

And lastly a nice addition to the Imperialist camp, with Venexia miniatures kindly given to me by Pete and fittingly adorned with more of Petes printed flags!
