Bluemoon releases 15mm Landsknechts.

Bluemoon have released a rather nice looking Italian wars range. With the sad news that the venexia italian wars range has pretty much gone the way of the Dodo along with Sgt Major miniatures, this new range is welcome news to me at least. Looking at the images they appear to be very nice sculpts for the scale with plenty of variety.
At the moment i am commited to finishing of the Lancastrian war of roses army(of which photos will follow soon) followed by my pile of testudo miniatures ECW which have waited attention toolong, but thanks to bluemoon a return to the Italian wars in the near future is assured.

  3. Those look good. After the sad demise of Venexia it is great to see somebody else releasing high quality Italian Wars figures in 15mm. I hope it is going to be a fully comprehensive range and can't wait to see what the cavalry look like.

    1. My sentiments too! These Landsknechts look the best available right now, and it will be interesting to see how far they go expanding the range. I will purchase a few packs when they are available here in uk, and see how they look in the flesh!

    2. What period do you think these are meant to be? The Swiss look quite early to me, around 1500 but the Landsknechs rather later - Pavia style.

I wonder too if/when the French and Spanish will be released.

    3. Agreed, these certainly look Pavia period, but the Swiss look far earlier!
I would certainly welcome pavia period Spanish, there really is not anything out there representing them, old glory spanish look elizabethian. Khurasan look to be the best but are reportedly for the conquest of the Americas.

    5. I hadn't heard - thanks for the heads up. I've just had a look on the Facebook page and, as you say, that first one looks quite special. After a long time in the wilderness, it looks like Italian Wars enthusiasts time is come. I must clear the backlog so I'm ready for all this new lead!
