15mm Legio Heroica Swiss pikes.

That's my first mass infantry formation in 15mm under my belt, 72 Swiss and hasn't taken nearly as much time as the 28s did! The LH figures are terrific and next on the list is 24 of their Burgundian archers, which are under way even as I post these.
  Happy weekend all!

    1. Thanks kindly Christopher, yes I must say LH are excellent and besides Mirlitons cavalry most of the Swiss and Burgundians will be from this fine manufacturers range!

    1. Thanks Oli, i am hoping i can produce a serious collection of the late medieval and early Renaissance era working both at same time, which i think is more achievable in this scale, and sure is cheaper, having said this i still don't think i will ever have a pikebloc as huge as yours!!!!

  4. 72 minis! I can't even start to imagine how time consuming that would have been in 28's, for me personally we would talk 2-3 months I guess :0) They look amazing, and just as visually appealing as their big brothers in the larger scale!

    1. Thanks Soren, you have expressed two reasons why i turned to 15mm and why i intend to stick to 15s. The time it took on the 28mm Swiss i was doing was considerable and still would have needed much more to complete and a Burgundian army would take even longer!
Lastly i am getting as much pleasure and satisfaction with the visual results and painting pleasure as i was with the bigger chaps, as i am sure you are with your WWII Germans! And i almost forgot they are cheaper to buy too, whats not to like!!!

  5. Great job!
I've just received some Legio Heroica miniatures to start a Low Countries army for Art de La Guerre. Your painting will be an inspiration to paint my army respecting colours code to match each city flags.
Just need to find the correct glue so that the pikes glues to the hands!
